Priyanka Chopra is Tigmanshu Dhulia's new heroine

Priyanka Chopra is Tigmanshu Dhulia's new heroine
Since its announcement, there has been a lot of speculation about who will play the role of the female lead in Milan Talkies. Initially, there was talk that Sonakshi Sinha had bagged the role opposite Imran Khan in the Tigmanshu Dhulia-directed film. Then, sources claimed that Priyanka.

Chopra (PC) had been approached. Then a report suggested that since Imran has pushed the shoot from March to August, PC might get replaced by her cousin, Parineeti Chopra.
But the producer, Ekta Kapoor, has now confirmed that it is Priyanka, who will play the lead role in the film.  Milan Talkies will go into production in August and there is no doubt that Priyanka will feature opposite Imran.

A source close to the producer adds, “Priyanka fits the role perfectly. Plus, Ekta and Priyanka are very close. Ekta wasn’t pleased with all the speculation, so she has announced this confirmation now.”

Tigmanshu will start work on this film after wrapping up Bullet Raja. PC too will join the crew after finishing Gunday and the Zanjeer remake.

Priyanka will be seen playing the role of a typical small-town girl in Milan Talkies. Dhulia has earlier described the film as a ‘pure love story.  “The crux of the story is that even though communication has become easy thanks to mobile phones and everything, it is still difficult to fall in love in small towns.”

How to lose weight without dieting

00:36
How to lose weight without dieting
If you want to slim down the healthy and painless way, try the following strategies. After all, it's not what you eat but how you eat.

CHEW MORE, EAT LESS Studies show that the longer time you spend chewing, the lesser calories you consume. Chewing for longer prevents over-eating, by giving the brain more time to receive signals from the stomach that it is full. It is not only great for digesting, but it also helps in limiting your portion size. Try chewing your food 35 to 50 times per mouthful.

DON'T SKIP BREAKFAST No matter how late you are running to work, avoid missing breakfast. There is a reason why it is called the most important meal of the day. Your body (rather your brain) expects to be refueled a few times each day, so when you skip breakfast, you feel so hungry that when lunch time comes, you overeat or maybe choose foods items that are not the healthiest choices. Missing breakfast slows down your metabolism. More importantly, always eat your breakfast, within an hour of waking up, as your body has gone without food the entire night.

CONCENTRATE ON YOUR FOOD How many times has your mother reprimanded you to not talk, read or watch TV while eating food? Not without a reason. When you are multitasking during meal times, your brain isn't focussing on the amount of food that you are consuming and you are more prone to piling on pounds. This doesn't mean that you cannot enjoy a meal with your friends. You can do so, but just pay attention to what you are putting in your mouth!

DON'T OVERCOOK YOUR MEALS Overcooking food kills or reduces the number of nutrients your meal contains, and when you don't get enough nutrients, you don't feel satisfied and soon start to get junk food cravings. To combat this, try eating more raw foods like sushi and salads. Steam, bake, blanch or grill vegetables and grill or bake meat and fish. Avoid microwaving.

FRUITS BEFORE MEALS It is advisable to eat fruits at least 30 minutes before any heavy meal. This way, the fruits will digest quickly. Eating fruits on an empty stomach detoxifies your system and supplies you with a great deal of energy for losing weight.

HAVE SMALLER MEALS, MORE OFTEN Ideally, you should eat five to six times per day, with a two to three hour break between each meal or snack. Eating more frequently gets your metabolism going and keeps it working at an elevated level continuously throughout the day. But don't use this rule as an excuse to overeat.

AVOID EATING AFTER 8 PM It's good to eat your last meal before eight in the evening. This way you don't land up binging on a snack before dinner time. If you find it hard to resist, have some herbal tea or brush your teeth after dinner immediately to switch your mind off from the idea of eating.

THINK AND DRINK While everyone knows it's necessary to drink at least eight to 10 glasses of water, very few know when one should consume it. When you drink is as important as what you drink. If you drink water in-between meals, the liquid slows down digestion, diluting the acid in your stomach and so the nutrients from the food that you eat are not well absorbed. To avoid this try to drink water 15 minutes before or after a meal, and if you really need to drink while you eat, limit yourself to small sips only.

Nokia Lumia 920 coming to India in Jan 2013
For Nokia fans who’ve been waiting for the launch of the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 in India, there is good news. The devices are likely to be launched in January 2013, reports Tech2. The report also states that the smartphone will support 9 Long Term Evolution (LTE) bands in India for 4G connectivity.  It will not support 4G completely however as 4G is currently run on 2300Mhz in India. What are bacteria?

00:21
What are bacteria?
Bacteria are living things that are neither plants nor animals, but belong to a group all by themselves. They are very small--individually not more than one single cell--however there are normally millions of them together, for they can multiply really fast.

  •     See bacteria multiply in just a few hours in a 520 k time lapse movie.
  •     A simple and clear description about Bacteria is given..
  •     Here's what the specialist says: Enter "Microbe World". Have fun browsing through that one!
  •     OK, one more: a Description of bacteria.
A brief synopsis of the diverse world of bacteria, where you can learn that not all bacteria are harmful, is found in the Nature Bulletin. Another very informative site to visit is the Bacteria exhibit of the Museum of Paleontology, where you can also find a drawing and explanation of the inside of a typical bacteria. More details on bacterial structures are further explained in The New Microbial World, an introductory textbook for students of which the first 3 chapters are online.
If you're curious what bacteria look like, check out our Special Feature Exhibit: Images of bacteria.

A number of bacteria cause disease, these are called pathogenic bacteria. They are the subject of Medical Microbiology and the exhibit pathogens deals with them. A separate exhibit explains about bacteria and food safety. Fortunately our immunesystem knows how to deal with them. However not all bacteria are 'bad guys'. We need bacteria to stay alive, as is explained in our exhibit commensals.

Bacteria are prokaryotes (single cells that do not contain a nucleus). It may seem weird to classify organisms according to such details, but having or not having a nucleus is not trivial at all. The division between prokaryotes and eukaryotes (all organisms with a nucleus inside their cells) is of extreme importance in biology, and is the result of a major evolutionary breakthrough. Visit our other exhibits if you want to know more about bacteria and evolution, or in what extreme environments bacteria can be found.

Microbiology is the study of prokaryotes, eukaryotes (as long as the organism is microscopically small) and viruses. What is the difference between bacteria and viruses?. Did you know that bacteria can be ill too? In our museum Bacteria are in the center of the picture, but there also are many other micro-organisms that can be useful to mankind or cause infectious diseases.

Bacteriology is the study of bacteria.. Bacteria can be used for 1001 applications. That bacteria occpy a niche in teh ecosystem where they live is explained in our Special Feature Exhibit on microbial ecology.
