Kerala Post Graduate Medical (Degree / Diploma) courses admission 2013 : On the basis of NEET-PG( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Post Graduate)

 Applications are invited for admission to Post Graduate Medical (Degree/Diploma) Courses, 2012 in the Government Medical Colleges and to the 50% seats available in the self financing/Co-operative Medical colleges in Kerala. NEET-PG is a mandatory test for gaining entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at all Medical colleges under the ambit of PGME Regulations of MCI. NBE shall be conducting NEET-PG as a Computer Based Test (CBT).

Eligibility Criteria for Addmission

  •     Candidates who are in possession of MBBS degree/Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate from an Institute recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or likely to complete on or before 31st March 2013 may apply for NEET-PG through online application system at www.nbe.gov.in/neetpg
  •     Candidates found to be ineligible at any stage of NEET-PG will not be permitted to appear in the examination and/or counseling. In an unlikely, event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or being successful in the NEET-PG, the results/candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled and/or are deemed to be cancelled.
  •     Requests for appearing in NEET-PG from candidates completing internship after 31st March 2013 or having qualifications that are not recognized shall be summarily rejected. Candidates are further advised not to canvass for the same.
  •     Candidate who are completing their internship after 31st March 2013 or likely to complete after 31st March 2013 need not apply in the NEET-PG exam as they shall be ineligible to participate at any stage of the admission process.
  •     Registration and /or appearance in NEET-PG does not confer any automatic rights upon the candidate for admission at medical institute /college or MD/MS or PG Diploma programme.
  •     Eligibility for pursuing MD/MS/PG Diploma shall be as per the rules, regulations and guidelines of respective universities /medical institutions.
  •     The dates indicated by candidates with regard to12 months Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship i.e. starting date, completion date, shall be treated as final and candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship completion certificate at the time of counseling.
  •     The cut off dates for the recognition of the Medical Colleges, from where the candidates have passed their MBBS Degree Course and completed compulsory rotatory Internship for the year 2012 will be as prescribed by MCI. The Colleges recognized after the date prescribed by MCI will not considered.
  •     Registration with M.C.I./State Medical Council/ is necessary and its documentary proof should be furnished at the time of counseling.
  •     Some of the Universities/institutions are having regulations that candidates who are already pursuing the PG Course in their University or in another University are not eligible for admission till they complete the course. The candidates who are already pursuing PG Courses either through All India Quota or State Quota and are applying for a seat under All India Quota may confirm the eligibility conditions of that University in this regard. NBE/MCC/MoHFW shall not be responsible if such candidates are refused for admission. Such candidates may opt for the subject and the college at their own risk and cost.

Fees: Composite examination fee and information bulletin voucher (required for online application system) can be obtained from selected branches of Axis Bank on payment of Rs.3750 for General/OBC and Rs.2750 for SC/ST/PWD Category.

Examination Scheme

The test comprises 240 multiple choice, single correct response questions in English Language only. The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computers network as per scheme prescribed.

Syllabus: The Syllabus for the test shall comprise of subjects /knowledge areas as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of India. An extract of the same is enclosed at Annexure B, kindly refer to MCI website www.mciindia.org for complete document.

Test Centre Location: Exact address and location of the test centres is available at the online registration and scheduling application at neetpg website. Location map of the test centers are also available at the website. Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the test centre locations and ensure that they report for the test as per scheduled time only. Applications on the prescribed forms are invited for admission to Programmes :

(1) PG Course: Post Graduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM 2013-15)
(2) Doctoral Course: Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM 2013)

IRMA's mission is to promote sustainable, eco-friendly and equitable socio-economic development of rural people through professional management of their institutions. IRMA promotes professional management of rural organisations through four inter-related activities of education, training, research and consultancy. Its faculty comprises experienced academicians and practitioners. IRMA uses state-of-the-art pedagogy. Post-Graduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM)
PRM is a two-year residential programme comprising four different segments – classroom, fieldwork, organisational exposure and management training. The programme leads to a Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM), which is recognised as equivalent to a Master's Degree by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)

   
Eligibility: 
Graduates with minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education and having 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD) aggregate marks or an equivalent GPA from a recognised Indian or foreign University / Institution are eligible to apply. The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned University / Institution. Final year students who expect to obtain 50% aggregate marks and will complete all requirements of graduation before June 17, 2013, can also apply. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Fees : The total programme cost over the period of two years (inclusive of tuition fee and service charges) is estimated to be about Rs. 4 lak. Costs for students are kept low through cross subsidisation.

Scholarships and Educational Loans:
Exemption from fee, and prestigious scholarships are available for desrving students. IRMA students get loan from SBI without any collateral.

Campus Placement:
IRMA facilitates meaningful placement opportunities of its students. IRMANs are highly valued in national and international development organisations, funding agencies, co-operatives and NGOs. The campus placements (100%) offer ideal combination of job satisfaction and decent compensation. PRM 2010-12 participants received an average annual salary of Rs.8.07 lakh (highest being Rs. 14.08 lakh).

Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM)
FPRM is a coursework based doctoral with a residency requirement of minimum 3 years, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Thematic Fields of Specialisation: (a) Management of Collectives: (b) Agricultural / Rural Marketing: (c.) Natural Resources Management; (d) Development Management; (e) Micro-finance management; (f) governance and Livelihoods: (g) Rural Infrastructure and Service management; and (h) Public Policy and Non-profit Management.

Eligibility: Candidates with any one of the following :

(i) Post-Graduate degree in any discipline f4rom a recognised institution with 55% and 50% marks at graduation level
(ii) PRM from IRMA
(iii) 4 year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60% marks and at least one year work experience
(iv) 5 year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, architecture etc.) with 60% marks are eligible for 5% relaxation in the marks specified above. Candidates who expect to fulfill the eligibility requirement before June 17, 2013 may also apply.

Fellowship:
Every FPRM participants receives a fellowship of Rs. 14,000 per month till they clear the comprehensive qualifying examination adn then Rs. 16000/- per month and a contignecy grant of Rs. 20,000 per year for a maximum period of 4 years.

Placement : Graduating fellows have joined faculty position in IIMs, and other reputed instituttions/ universities.

Selection for PRM and FPRM:

A written test, common for both the programme will be conducted on November 11, 2012 (Sunday: 9.15 AM – 12.15 PM) at 27 centers across India. PRM participants would be selected on the basis of written test, GD and interview. FPRM participants will be selected on the basis of written test, interview and presentation of an essay. Candidates with PRM qualification applying for FPRM are exempted from the written test.

How to Apply:

An applicant can opt for one of the following options :

a) Apply online and pay through payment gateway.
b) Make payment through SBI’s online “i-collect” facility, SBI would generate reference number after successful payment. Use this reference number and apply online through IRMA website
c) Take a print out of SBI challan available on IRMA website in the admission link. Make payment at any branch of SBI by using the challan. SBI would then issue a unique ID number. Use this unique ID number and apply online through IRMA website
d) Printed application material (prospectus, application form, sample question paper etc.) can be obtained from Admissions Office, IRMA, Anand - 388 001 on payment of full fees. (All the payments to IRMA should be made in the form of a demand draft favouring ‘IRMA’ and it should be payable at “Anand”)
