Eligibility:  
The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination.

General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.

A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School.

3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

Bachelor Programme – Technology

B.FTech. (Apparel Production)

Eligibility:  
The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry and Math’s.

(1) PG Course: Post Graduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM 2013-15)
(2) Doctoral Course: Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM 2013)

IRMA's mission is to promote sustainable, eco-friendly and equitable socio-economic development of rural people through professional management of their institutions. IRMA promotes professional management of rural organisations through four inter-related activities of education, training, research and consultancy. Its faculty comprises experienced academicians and practitioners. IRMA uses state-of-the-art pedagogy. It has modern IT infrastructure, Internet connectivity in individual hostel rooms, and a fully-automated library.

Post-Graduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM)
PRM is a two-year residential programme comprising four different segments – classroom, fieldwork, organisational exposure and management training. The programme leads to a Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM), which is recognised as equivalent to a Master's Degree by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)

   
Eligibility: 
Graduates with minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education and having 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD) aggregate marks or an equivalent GPA from a recognised Indian or foreign University / Institution are eligible to apply. The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned University / Institution. Final year students who expect to obtain 50% aggregate marks and will complete all requirements of graduation before June 17, 2013, can also apply. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Fees : The total programme cost over the period of two years (inclusive of tuition fee and service charges) is estimated to be about Rs. 4 lak. Costs for students are kept low through cross subsidisation.

Scholarships and Educational Loans:
Exemption from fee, and prestigious scholarships are available for desrving students. IRMA students get loan from SBI without any collateral.

Campus Placement:
IRMA facilitates meaningful placement opportunities of its students. IRMANs are highly valued in national and international development organisations, funding agencies, co-operatives and NGOs. The campus placements (100%) offer ideal combination of job satisfaction and decent compensation. PRM 2010-12 participants received an average annual salary of Rs.8.07 lakh (highest being Rs. 14.08 lakh).

Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM)
FPRM is a coursework based doctoral with a residency requirement of minimum 3 years, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Thematic Fields of Specialisation: (a) Management of Collectives: (b) Agricultural / Rural Marketing: (c.) Natural Resources Management; (d) Development Management; (e) Micro-finance management; (f) governance and Livelihoods: (g) Rural Infrastructure and Service management; and (h) Public Policy and Non-profit Management.

Eligibility: Candidates with any one of the following :

(i) Post-Graduate degree in any discipline f4rom a recognised institution with 55% and 50% marks at graduation level
(ii) PRM from IRMA
(iii) 4 year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60% marks and at least one year work experience
(iv) 5 year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, architecture etc.) with 60% marks are eligible for 5% relaxation in the marks specified above. Candidates who expect to fulfill the eligibility requirement before June 17, 2013 may also apply.

Fellowship:
Every FPRM participants receives a fellowship of Rs. 14,000 per month till they clear the comprehensive qualifying examination adn then Rs. 16000/- per month and a contignecy grant of Rs. 20,000 per year for a maximum period of 4 years.

Placement : Graduating fellows have joined faculty position in IIMs, and other reputed instituttions/ universities.

Selection for PRM and FPRM:

A written test, common for both the programme will be conducted on November 11, 2012 (Sunday: 9.15 AM – 12.15 PM) at 27 centers across India. PRM participants would be selected on the basis of written test, GD and interview. FPRM participants will be selected on the basis of written test, interview and presentation of an essay. Candidates with PRM qualification applying for FPRM are exempted from the written test.

How to Apply:

An applicant can opt for one of the following options :

a) Apply online and pay through payment gateway.
b) Make payment through SBI’s online “i-collect” facility, SBI would generate reference number after successful payment. Use this reference number and apply online through IRMA website
c) Take a print out of SBI challan available on IRMA website in the admission link. Make payment at any branch of SBI by using the challan. SBI would then issue a unique ID number. Use this unique ID number and apply online through IRMA website
d) Printed application material (prospectus, application form, sample question paper etc.) can be obtained from Admissions Office, IRMA, Anand - 388 001 on payment of full fees. (All the payments to IRMA should be made in the form of a demand draft favouring ‘IRMA’ and it should be payable at “Anand”)

Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Course 2012-13 in Kerala in AICTE approved institutions of Kerala for the academic year 2012-13

Qualifications :

a) Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian Citizen

b) Academic Eligibility:

(i) Colleges affiliated to the UNIVERSITY OF KERALA
Candidates should have passed Bachelors Degree of minimum three years duration after 10+2 level with a minimum of 50% marks in the subject component(s) in any discipline with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Engineering and Technology as a Main/ Subsidiary/ Core subject.

(ii) Colleges affiliated to MAHATMA GANDHI UNIVERSITY
A pass with not less than 50% marks in any recognised regular Bachelor’s Degree Course of minimum three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level. or A pass with not less than 50% marks in any recognised regular Bachelor’s Degree Course of minimum three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics/Statistics (this does not include Business Mathematics or Business Statistics) as one of the Subjects or A pass with not less than 50% marks in BCA Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognised University.

A pass in the above prescribed qualifying examination for SC/ST candidates. SEBC candidates will be a given 2% relaxation in minimum marks prescribed for general candidates. Physically handicapped candidates will be given of 5% relaxation in the minimum marks. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in more than one chance in the subject (excluding languages) will have their percentage marks derated at the rate of 5% for every additional appearance.

(iii) Colleges affiliated to UNIVERSITY of CALICUT
Bachelors Degree in any discipline of three years duration with Mathematics (this does not include Business Mathematics or Business Statistics) as one of the subjects with at least 50% marks scored in Mathematics and the Course undergone under the regular programme recognised by the Calicut University. 5% relaxation in marks will be allowed in the case of SEBC candidates and for SC/ST candidates pass in examination is required.

(iv) Colleges affiliated to the KANNUR UNIVERSITY
A pass in any recognised regular Bachelor’s Degree Course of minimum three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level. or A pass in any recognised Regular Bachelor’s Degree Course of minimum three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the Subjects or A pass in BCA Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognised University.

Note: Candidates who are appearing / have appeared for the qualifying examination this year are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination, subject to the condition that the entire mark list of the qualifying examination shall be produced by the candidate at the time of admission.

Entrance Examination:

 The Entrance Examination will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode on 13.10.2012 (Saturday) from 10.00 AM to 12.00 NOON. It will be of 2 hours duration and will consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions. The Questions will cover Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, General Knowledge, General English and Fundamentals of Computer Awareness at Graduate level.

How and When to Apply: Candidates seeking admission to the Course can apply online on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The website will be open for online registration from 12.09.2012 to 24.09.2012, 5 PM.

Application Fee: For General and SEBC candidates, the application fee is Rs.800/- (Rupees Eight Hundred Only) and for SC/ST Candidates, the application fee is Rs.400/- (Rupees Four Hundred Only).The required fee can be remitted at any branch of the State Bank of Travancore using the Bank Chalan which is available in the online application print out. The Original Chalan duly signed and authenticated by the bank authorities should be attached along with the print out of the application form. Candidates outside Kerala State can remit the application fee by attaching a Demand Draft for the requisite amount drawn on a Nationalised Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Application fee will not be refunded on any account.

Last date and time for receipt of print out of application: Candidates should take printout of the online application and affix a self attested passport size photograph, identical to the one which has been uploaded, in the space provided. This application along with the required documents should be forwarded to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001, either by registered post or by hand delivery so as to reach the office before 5 pm on 25.09.2012. The envelope containing the application should be superscribed “APPLICATION FOR MCA COURSE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION - 2012”.

Belated, incomplete and defective applications will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be made in this regard. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible for any postal delay.

Candidates will not be allowed to include any additional information in the application form or to submit any certificate / document claiming reservation or any benefits, after the submission of the application, under any circumstances.

Certificates submitted in the prescribed format available along with the print out of application alone will be accepted.

The candidates registered for the examination can download their ADMIT CARDS from the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 03.10.2012 onwards. The admit card thus obtained should be brought to the exam hall.

Allotment of Seats: The institution wise allotment will be made by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in accordance with the rank obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Examination and the order of preference of institutions registered by the candidates during Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). The details of CAP will be notified in the website and in leading news papers. Individual intimation in this regard will not be sent to candidates.

The Entrance Examination and subsequent allotments will be based on the provisions laid down in the Prospectus for Admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Course, Kerala 2012-13, approved by the Government, which is available on the web site www.ceekerala.org. Candidates should go through the Prospectus before submitting their applications.
