How to Choose the Right Face Foundation Cream for Your Skin Type
Choosing the perfect foundation cream can be a game-changer for your makeup routine, but it’s important to find one that suits your skin type and complexion. Here's how to select the best face foundation cream and some top recommendations with their prices.

1. Identify Your Skin Type
Understanding your skin type is the first step. There are four major types:

Oily: If your skin produces excess oil, you need a foundation that controls shine.

Dry: Dry skin needs hydrating and nourishing formulas.

Combination: You may need a foundation that balances oiliness in certain areas and dryness in others.

Normal: Most foundations will work, but it's still crucial to choose one that enhances your skin’s natural texture.

2. Choose the Right Formula

Each foundation formula serves a different purpose:

Liquid Foundation: Ideal for most skin types and offers buildable coverage.

Powder Foundation: Best for oily or combination skin as it helps absorb excess oil.

Cream Foundation: Perfect for dry skin as it offers a hydrating, dewy finish.

Stick Foundation: Great for quick application and provides medium to full coverage.

3. Determine the Coverage Level

Choose a foundation with coverage that suits your needs:

Sheer Coverage: Gives a natural look, perfect for daily wear.

Medium Coverage: Covers minor imperfections without looking too heavy.

Full Coverage: Best for special occasions or when you need to cover significant blemishes or discolouration.

4. Match Your Undertone

Foundation should complement your skin's undertone, whether it’s warm, cool, or neutral. Test foundation on your jawline and blend it in. The perfect shade should disappear into your skin seamlessly.

5. SPF and Added Benefits

Opt for foundations with SPF for daily sun protection. You can also choose products enriched with skin-benefiting ingredients like hyaluronic acid for hydration, or salicylic acid for acne-prone skin.

How to Pack Your Beauty Products

How to Pack Your Beauty Products
OK so packing for a trip can be a tedious task. You ask yourself a thousand questions like: What is the weather going to be like? Will I really need both my peep-toe heels and the Paten leather pumps? And what beauty products will I need? Should I carry them in the checked suitcase or in my carry on? Surely the hotel will have a hair dryer, won't it? These are all important questions, especially because what you pack may help prevent your hair from turning into a frizz ball and how you pack may help you avoid having your vanilla-scented lotion burst all over your silk blouse.

Tip 1: Assess the situation

Before you empty your medicine cabinet into your suitcase consider the following:

How long are you traveling for? If you'll be away for more than two weeks, you're better off buying beauty products like shampoo, conditioner, etc. at your destination rather than lugging them in your suitcase.

What will the hotel provide? Most hotels have hair dryers, shampoo and conditioner, body lotion and soap, but it's always best to call ahead and ask the front desk or concierge. If you have a lot of hair and don't trust the power of the hotel dryer, pack your own fold-able travel size dryer, which comes complete with a travel tote.

Tip 2: Decide what to pack

Things to bring: Your basics (toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, deodorant, everyday makeup, shampoo and conditioner (unless you can make do with a hotel variety), face wash, face moisturizer and a brush.

Things to leave: Sunscreen (the tubes are usually big and you can find cheap sunscreen at your destination), body lotion and soap (if you are staying at a hotel), makeup that you don't wear everyday (you don't want to risk losing what you've collected, and less is more}.

Tip 3: Don't forget the 3-1-1 rule

TSA only allows 3.4 ounce -- or less -- bottles (100ml) of all liquids, aerosols and gels that are enclosed in one quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag per passenger to be carried on board. Which means, unless you are packing your beauty products in your checked baggage, you need to either buy travel-sized beauty products or get refillable plastic containers.
Keep in mind, if you don't need full-sized products,  packing all your beauty products in your carry on. It's far easier for you to control the movement of your items

Tip 4: Get clever with the favorites you can't leave behind

When it comes to items like perfume and nail polish, you're better off keeping glass out of your suitcase. If you're determined to bring your favorite fragrance, don't even try pouring it into a plastic bottle. Instead, go to a department store or Sephora and ask for a sample size of your scent. Most perfumes come in sample sizes and you can just ask the sales clerk for two.

As for nail polish, bring one bottle of the color that's on your nails when you leave and carry it on the flight instead of packing in your suitcase. You could also instead try nail polish strips that have no glass bottle and last up to two weeks.

Tip 5: Pick the right toiletry case

Get a plastic-lined toiletry bag that has a lot of zipper compartments and dividers (at least three), which will come in handy if anything does break or leak. Also, look for one that hangs on the back of a door for easy access to your products. This is also useful if your hotel has minimal counter space in the bathroom.

Tip 6: Keep like items together

When packing, skin care, hair products, oral care products and makeup should be stored by category and separate from each other. That's why you will need a bag with many compartments. If you're short on compartments, just make sure to keep dry items like powders and makeup separate from liquids.

Tip 7: Prevent leaks

When the air pressure changes in an airplane due to elevation, your beauty products will react. To keep the products in their respective bottles and not all over your suitcase, make sure to release the air from your bottles and quickly close them back up before packing them. Then tape the tops of your liquid containers to prevent leaking and exploding, and for double protection, recycle old grocery bags and wrap your liquids individually, before packing them away.

Tip 8: Pack like a pro

In your suitcase, make sure to pack your toiletries bag in between clothes and "not near shoes or anything that can puncture it. If you are bringing a rain jacket, wrap your jacket around your toiletries bag.

Go for garlic juice or mud pack for Pimples

Go for garlic juice or mud pack for Pimples
The acne problem usually starts around the age of 10-13. Though many get rid of it by their 20s, for some it lingers.

"In teenagers, there are two things that trigger acne problem. First is hormonal changes in their body. In boys, it is the increased secretion of testosterone and in girls, the levels of both testosterone and oestrogen rises.

"Due to these hormones the oil secretion in the body increases and the skin becomes oily and more prone to acne and breakouts. The other trigger for acne is bacterial infection.

90 per cent of teenagers suffer from acne in varying degrees of severity. It has a psychological effect on youngsters who want to have clean and clear skin.

Various  natural treatments are available.

Some natural remedies like garlic juice, clay packs and lemon juice also help in avoiding acne and lightens scars.

"To avoid acne, wash your skin twice a day. Make sure that you use a mild face wash that is meant for your skin type. Washing your face too frequently, especially with harsh cosmetics, can aggravate your acne. Try to avoid processed foods like white bread and noodles as they often trigger outbreaks.

"Use a face pack made of Fuller's earth (non-plastic clay or claylike earthy material) at least once or twice a week. This will help extract excess sebum and is therefore one of the best natural methods to treat acne.

"You can also apply a little garlic juice on your face, for about an hour at least once a week. Although garlic juice will kill off acne-causing bacteria, do not keep it for too long as it can aggravate sensitive skin.

Mix equal parts of milk cream and lemon juice and apply on your face, says Anand. The lactic acid and citric acid in these two (respectively) help in lightening the scars.

Natural remedies help, but medical treatments are more efficient.
"A lot of people try out natural, home-based remedies like clay packs to cut back the oil from their face. Some use gram flour to scrub away the debris and acne-laden skin, but these treatments are not sufficient and can't replace the efficacy of medical treatments
