Top 14 Bollywood's hottest new patakas

The newest Bollywood girls are a motley lot. With their style and oomph factor, they have made their own way in the world of showbiz.

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, made her dream debut in Karan Johar's Student Of The Year. With her fresh-faced appeal and dimpled beauty, Alia comes giftwrapped in sugar and spice.

Ileana D'Cruz

Southern sizzler Ileana D'Cruz is a fireball from down under. After establishing herself as one of Telugu cinema's leading actresses, she made a mark with her acting chops in Barfi! opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Diana Penty

Although Diana Penty made her debut opposite one of Bollywood's hit jodis, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone, she managed not to be overshadowed and was well received for her performance in Cocktail. A heady cocktail of looks and acting, the model-turned-actress is a bombshell in the making.
Don't get too close to her, she might spontaneously combust.

Sunny Leone

Hotness Hall of Famer Sunny Leone is an entire fireworks factory by herself. The adult film star's Bollywood debut, Jism 2 may not have created fireworks at the box-office but she made sure to send the mercury rising through the roof. With Ragini MMS 2 next on her cards, we have no doubt that Sunny's filmy future is anything but bright.

Esha Gupta

Esha Gupta made it big as a model before developing her Bollywood ambition. She was Miss India International in 2007 and featured in the Kingfisher Calendar 2010. After making her Bollywood debut with Jannat 2 opposite Emraan Hashmi, she went on to act in big banners like Vikram Bhatt's Raaz 3 and Prakash Jha's critically acclaimed Chakravyuh.

Kristina Akheeva

Model-turned-actor Kristina Akheeva will be seen in the Yamla Pagla Deewana sequel. She has already invited enough publicity well before the film's launch next year and is a known face in the advertising world. The Russian born and Australian bred beauty is a rocket, and a noisy one at that.

Amy Jackson

Amy Jackson is a firecracker made in London. The British model has wasted no time making her presence felt, both on screen and off it after her Bollywood debut, Ek Deewana Tha. The movie was a box-office dud, but she's still sensational.

Yami Gautam

After a successful career on the small screen, Yami Gautam made her film debut in regional cinema, with Ravi Babu's Nuvvila and made a splash in Bollywood with Vicky Donor. Not only has the film been a hit, Yami's performance as a Bengali girl has also been well received.
With Bollywood waiting to see more of her, looks like Yami is a chocolate bomb waiting to explode.

Parineeti Chopra

Parineeti Chopra should come with a flammable warning. The first cousin to Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra is, in her own words, an "accidental actor". She made her debut with Ladies vs Ricky Bahl which may not have been the biggest hit in 2011, but this new girl in town swept all the best debut awards at all award functions. Her power-packed performance in her second movie, Ishaqzaade opposite newcomer Arjun Kapoor, also received positive response from critics and audience alike.

Evelyn Sharma

Evelyn Sharma is a pocket sized rocket ready to explode with a loud bang. Even though her debut film, From Sydney With Love went unnoticed, she had already bagged four films even before the film released. Not to forget, Evelyn also managed to scorch the ramp in this year's Blender's Pride Fashion Tour.

Sana Saeed

Sana Saeed won everyone's heart with her role as adorable little Anjali in Karan Johar's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. And now she's all grown up and was seen playing 'a high school hottie' in Student Of The Year. While director KJo surprisingly kept her away from the limelight during the promotions of the film, we hope she turns out to be all fire under the icy exterior in the future.

 Nathalia Kaur

A deadly mix of Brazilian and Punjabi blood who won the Kingfisher Calendar Hunt 2012, bodacious Nathalia Kaur made her Bollywood debut with Ram Gopal Verma's film Department and sizzled in the item number to the much-hyped Dan Dan song.

Top 10 newcomers on the Bollywood
While Khans and Kapoors of Bollywood are still making waves with one hit after another, a fresh crop of new faces is slowly making its way to the big bad world of Bollywood. Will they succeed?

If we look at some of the recent hit films like Barfi, Ishaqzaade, Jannat 2, Jism 2 and VickyDonor they all have one thing in common - a newcomer. Arjun Kapoor, Esha Gupta, Sunny Leone, Ileana D'Cruz and Ayushmann Khurrana even got critical acclaim for their performances. The trend is definitely catching up as a spate of newbies are ready to enter the Bollywood boulevard in the coming months.

Film-making is all about ideas. And if you have a unique story idea, it will get positive responses, irrespective of the star cast of the film."

“The way I perceive it, investing in newcomers is not a risk. They are the future of our industry and if we can sell a unique idea along with their talent, there is no question of the movie not performing well.

Preity Zinta who's making a comeback with Ishkq in Paris  initially wanted to cast only newcomers in the film.

"We never wanted an established star for the film. As a producer first decided we will make it as a small budget film when we were developing our script.

For Karan Johar, directing three newcomers in his next directorial venture Student of the Year was an emtional journey.  This film is very different from the earlier ones. With these three newcomers he was nurturing, parenting them. It was his emotional journey.

Here's a look at the hot entrants in Bollywood:

ALIA BHATT: Alia Bhatt, 19, daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, is all set for a Bollywood debut with Student of the Year (SOTY) and wants to play a long innings in showbiz.

"It's too soon to tell if ALIA BHATT able to create an impression.she need to wait for another five to six films

"ALIA BHATT decision after college was to study acting, but when the film happened,ALIA BHATT  said why not learn on the film. There is no plan B. If someone asks her what I would do if I can't succeed as an actor, I would say work harder, because there is nothing else.

RHEHAN MALLIEK: Gaurav Chanana aka Rhehan Malliek is best known as Dr Rahul from hit telly serial Sanjeevani. He's now chasing his Bollywood dreams. The actor is debuting as a main lead with Preity Zinta in Ishkq in Paris.

He also starred in music album Chamak cham cham chamake hai sitaro me tu hi with Rimi Sen.

The actor has also done bit roles in Woh Tera Naam Tha, Zinda and Kajraare.

VARUN DHAWAN: He is the son of director David Dhawan and student of veteran director Karan Johar. He is all set to make debut with one of the most awaited films of the year - Student of the year.
Varun, 24, assisted his father David and Karan Johar earlier behind the camera.
The actor however says that he wanted to prove himself with less help from family
Cinema is not anyone's birthright. Everyone can enjoy it, no matter who they are or where they are from.

ATHIYA SHETTY: Suniel Shetty's little girl has grown up. She is reportedly set to make her Bollywood debut with none other than Jackie Shroff's son Tiger. They would be seen together in Heropanti.
The news has not been confirmed yet.

SIDDHANT KAPOOR: Shakti Kapoor's son Siddhant is making his Bollywood foray in Sanjay Gupta's Shootout at Wadala. Siddhant who is also a DJ, essays the role of a sharpshooter in Shootout at Wadala that also stars Anil Kapoor and John Abraham.

Sanjay Gupta had told Mid Day: "Siddhant has an independent identity of his own and deserves to be on the big screen. Plus he is a very talented and a good-looking boy."

The newcomer has another film in his kitty. Siddhant is reportedly doing Anurag Kashyap's Ugly. He would be playing a dark character embroiled in drugs.

TAMANNAAH BHATIA: Tamannah Bhatia is already an established actress down south. She has done successful movies like Padikathavan (2009), Ayan (2009), Paiyaa (2010) and Siruthai (2011). The actress is now ready to start her Bollywood innings opposite Ajay Devgn in Himmatwala.

She would be reprising the role of Sridevi in the remake of the 1983 hit film of the same name starring Jeetendra and Sridevi.

BILAL AMROHI: The grandson of legendary filmmaker Kamaal Amrohi, Bilal, is reportedly making debut with Salman Khan's home production. He's the son of son of Taajdaar and Neelu Amrohi.
It is said to be a low budget film revolving around a journalist and a cameraman. The film is also likely to feature Pulkit Samrat.

SIDDHARTH MALHOTRA: He started out as a model in Delhi and assisted Karan Johar in My Name Is Khan. He's now ready to face the camera with two other newcomers in Student of the Year.
"It has not been an easy journey. He started career with modeling and then worked with Karan as an assistant director. At that time he had never imagined that he will cast me as a lead actor in his movie," he had told reporters at an event.
"SIDDHARTH MALHOTRA have nothing to fall back on, for them (Alia and Varun) they can take guidance from there parents but I can't even discuss anything with my parents as they know nothing about the industry.

TIGER SHROFF: Jackie Shroff's son Tiger would be making his foray in Bollywood with Sajid Nadiadwala's Heropanti. Shroff Junior plays a ruffian from a small North Indian town.

The role reportedly requires loads of action and dancing. Tiger confirms this. The excited debutant told Bollywood Hungama, "The action and dance are a big part of the script. I've been training really hard for those. And I don't need to unlearn those skills. But yes, there are a lot of new things I need to learn for the role."
"He will be spending a month in the town chosen for shooting.  Tiger never had any formal acting training before. So they can mould Him any way they want for the character. He already training to be in character.
.
POONAM PANDEY: The bikini sensation is making her Bollywood debut with Jism director Amit Saxena's yet-to-be-titled film. Poonam claims it's a coming-of-an movie. The film will have bold scenes shot in an aesthetic way.

"It's going to change people's mindset. It will change the way people think about Bollywood. It's radically different from the way films are being made here. I would say, it's not a normal story of a-boy-meets-girl-and-they-fall-in-love genre. It's a very different story," Poona.

"The bold scenes are shot in a very classy way. If I'm there, there is bound to be exposure. I have stepped into glam business with a bold image so why would I shy away from doing hot scenes in Bollywood," Poonam saying.

Bipasha Basu steals the show, through‘Raaz 3’ review

Bipasha Basu steals the show, through‘Raaz 3’ review
No matter what, if people are asked to point out the most striking feature of Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Raaz 3’, they would undoubtedly put their fingers on Shanaya Shekhar. Bipasha Basu performs the character with a finesse that one might – I admit – only hope to replicate, and perhaps succeed. But the woman sweeps you off your feet. Whether with her devilish laughter ringing in the ears long after one leaves the theatre or with the bloodshot eyes where all the raaz resides, Basu casts a spell with her Shanaya.

Shanaya Shekhar is the actress every producer dreams of roping in and every director aims at directing. In the film industry, Shanaya is the reigning star. Till Sanjana Krishna (Esha Gupta) forays into it. Three years after the entry of Sanjana, Shanaya becomes a producer’s choice – only if Sanjana denies signing a film. Aditya Arora (Emraan Hashmi) is a director who rises to fame, thanks to Shanaya(or so thinks the latter). Shanaya’s desire to ruin Sanjana makes her resort to black magic, and what ensues is ‘Raaz 3’.

The film stands out more for the acting of its cast than its other aspects, I daresay. Emraan Hashmi, by now, has been able to strike a chord with his audience. After a not-so-acclaimed Sonu Dilli KKC in ‘Jannat 2’ and an extremely well-received Joginder Parmar in ‘Shanghai’, Hashmi has managed to prove his detractors wrong. His acting skills are way more convincing now, and he manages to perform the Director-in-dilemma well enough – both when he is kissing and when he is not.

Esha Gupta has taken her performance several notches higher, but at times is overshadowed by the others. The fact that she is just one film old in the industry might work to her benefit, but her acting requires polishing. As the coy, shy, lovelorn Sanjana, Gupta is charming. Comparisons with the film’s predecessors are inevitable given that it is the third in the franchise. Esha performs way better than what Kangna did in ‘Raaz 2’, but Bipasha in the first one is undoubtedly the one who shines steadily among the trio of the damsels in distres

The film’s technical aspects are commendable. Vikram Bhatt is the man who brought 3D horror films to the country, and in his third rendezvous with the technique, he has performed really well. After ‘Haunted 3D’ and ‘Dangerous Ishq’, the third film from the director is actually brilliant as far as the 3D is concerned. Several scenes stand out among the plethora of enlarged insects and objects flying towards the audience; and the one where Sanjana is attacked by innumerable cockroaches deserves a special mention. I’m not very scared of cockroaches as such, but henceforth when a cockroach flies at me, I might have to scream out loud.

Vishesh Films and the Bhatts have a way with the music in their films. Songs like ‘Rafta Rafta’ and ‘Deewana Kar Raha Hain’ will be hummed, sung and whistled by many people and for a long time to come. Bipasha in the title track is hot enough to fire your brains out.

For a person who isn’t scared easily, ‘Raaz 3’ wouldn’t be able to do much. However, it doesn’t have the used-and-abused clichés of blood running out of water taps and windows incessantly banging in the wind – and thank god for that. The film somewhere seems lacking something as far as the element of horror is concerned. Ample usage of the technology of 3D might have been able to make up for it at places, but sending chills down the spine all through is not what the film does.

Watch ‘Raaz 3’ for Bipasha and its 3D factor. The sheen of Shanaya wouldn’t disappoint you. And like Shanaya so confidently claims in the film, Bipasha too “was a star, is a star, and will always remain a star.

Esha Gupta's 20-minute kissing scene Video
Actor Emraan Hashmi has done it again! For his upcoming horror film Raaz 3 opposite Esha Gupta, he kissed the actress for 20-long minutes.

The serial kisser has done it earlier several times on screen, but this is perhaps his longest.

The two actors have already kissed in their last film together, Jannat 2.

Prior to this, Emraan's kiss with Soha Ali Khan in Tum Mile was said to be his longest on screen smooch.

Director Mahesh Bhatt says: "Emraan's kissing scene is the icing on the cake that we offer in the film to all his fans. I would call this a marathon kiss."
