Within this week, the domestic automobile market saw as many as seven
new vehicles, including Maruti's new Alto, Tata Motors' Indigo Manza
Club Class and Safari storme, Rexton from the stable of Mahindra and
Mahindra's Korean arm Ssangyong and the new Ford Figo. Here is a list of
cars launched in India this week.
Maruti Suzuki launched the new Alto 800 in India at a starting price of Rs 2.44 lakh, (ex-showroom Delhi). Available in an updated design package, the 2012 Alto 800 will be available in six trim levels including CNG versions.
Mahindra and Mahindra have launched the SsangYong brand in India with the new Rexton W SUV. The RX5 manual is priced at Rs 17.67 lakh and the RX7 auto at Rs 19.67 lakh ex-Mumbai.
Tata Motors launched the 2012 Manza Club Class in India. The petrol and diesel trims have been priced at Rs 5.70 lakh and Rs 6.49 lakh ex-Delhi respectively.
Ford launched the face-lifted Figo in India. Prices start from Rs 3.85 lakh for the petrol trim and Rs 4.81 lakh for the diesel, ex-Delhi.
The updated Tata Safari is here. Tata Motors launched the Safari Storme at a starting price of Rs 9.95 lakh, ex-Delhi.
Honda launched the Brio automatic in India in two trims %u2013 S(O) at Rs 5.74 lakh and V at Rs 5.99 lakh ex-Delhi, approximately Rs 80,000 more than the equivalent manual trim.
Toyota launched the Sportivo TRD edition of the Fortuner in India. Available in both 4x2 manual and automatic transmissions, the limited edition Fortuner Sportivo is priced at Rs 21.75 lakh and Rs 22.60 lakh ex-Delhi.
