Charulatha - Movie Preview


Actress Priyamani is all set for a grand comeback to Tollywood, long time after the release of Kshetram.

The Panch Bhashya star's latest outing Charulatha is one of the much-hyped and most-awaited movies of 2012. It is a female-oriented film and experts from the industry say that she is sure to win the hearts of film goers.

Charulatha, which is directed by Pon Kumaran, is horror movie and it is inspired from the 2007 Thai movie Alone starring pop singer Marsha Wattanapanich in the lead role.

The movie, which is made simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, is the story of a conjoined twins. Priyamani is playing identical twins, while Malayalam actor Skandha appears as protagonist in the film.

Seetha and Saranya are conjoined twins whose bodies are joined at stomach.

While they are staying in a hospital, they meet a boy. Both fall in love with him, but he loves one of them. He tries to get them separated. But other girl, who is not loved by the guy, kills the one he loves and acts like her. What happens next will form the crux of this horror movie.

Charulatha went on the floor on Ugadi festival day at Kanteerava studio Bangalore and has recently competed the shooting and other post-production works.

The makers of the movie have released the audio and trailer at grand function held at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai. The music has received very good response from music lovers and trailer has created a lot of curiosity among the film goers.

Charulatha features Saranya Ponvannan, Seetha, Sai Sasi and Aarthi in other important roles. Priyamani's performance as a conjoined twins is going to be the biggest highlight of the film.

The posters and videos have created a lot of curiosity among the movie buffs. It is slated to hit the screens across the globe tomorrow (September 21). It should be seen how it will perform at the Box Office.
