Yash Chopra's evergreen films : From 'Deewar' to 'Veer Zaara

Yash Chopra directed innumerable films in his long career as a filmmaker. But, some of his films have been etched in the minds of many of his fans. His romantic poetry in 1976 film 'Kabhie Kabhie' still remains a favourite amongst his fans.
 The 1973 film saw Rajesh Khanna divided between his love for Sharmila and Rakhi. The film went on to become a hit.
 Yash Chopra might be known as the 'King of Romance', but the director also directed some of the best drama in Bollywood. Amitabh Bachchan's 'Dewaar' broke records at the box-office with some superb dialogues and songs.
 After making a blockbuster like 'Deewar' with Amitabh Bachchan, Yash Chopra again roped in Amitabh for his 1978 hit film 'Trishul'.
 Yash Chopra immortalised Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha's love saga in his 1981 film 'Silsila'. Not only the star cast created a stir with their performances, even the songs of the film went on to become chartbusters.
 Yash Chopra gave Sridevi's career a fresh lease of life with his 1989 blockbuster 'Chandni'. Songs like 'Rang Bhare Badal' and 'Haathon Mein Nau Nau' went on to become the most memorable songs of that time.
 The love story between a young girl and an elderly man was beautifully portrayed in 1991 film 'Lamhe'. Though, the film was not well received at the box-office, it was critically acclaimed.
 This violent love story brought forward the obsession of a lover. The 1993 film brought Shah Rukh to the centre stage
 Yash Chopra's association with Shah Rukh gave his fans some of the most memorable romantic films. The director refined love and friendship in his 1997 award-winning film.
 The love story between an Indian boy and a Paksitani girl moved many to tears. Yash Chopra always struck the right chord with the audience.
